Job Summary:
Responsible for the assessment and improvement of existing internal control environment and establishment of ongoing internal audit program to assure compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Document controls and processes within our various business segments. Evaluate existing processes for control weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvements.
Create audit program to evaluate compliance with established policies.
Perform audits of Company facilities to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations. Review audit findings with local branch management and document findings in written report at completion of audit engagement. Follow up with branch personnel on areas requiring improvement / follow up.
Monitor and test internal controls on high risk areas. Provide feedback to operations personnel on areas of concern.
Properly train company employees on defined policies and procedures.
Special projects to assist the Senior Management team
Other duties, as directed or assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2 - 4 years experience in a similar role, experience working within a Sabanes-Oxley environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls accounting.
30 40 % travel required.

Work Environment:
There are no extraordinary conditions that are associated with the essential elements of the job
Physical Demands:
Standing for a long period of time (50%)
Sitting (50%)
Twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, etc. (60%)
Lifting, routinely up to 10lbs & occasionally up to 15 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
