New Hudson, MI New Hudson, MI Full-time Full-time $85,000 - $105,000 a year $85,000 - $105,000 a year Licensed Professional Land Surveyor New Hudson, Michigan Full-time position Compensation based on experience Zeimet Wozniak and Associates, a full-service consulting civil engineering and surveying firm based in southeastern Michigan, is seeking a Licensed Professional Surveyor to manage the operations of its Survey Department in its South Lyon, Michigan office.
Job Description This is primarily an office position including occasional fieldwork that involves mapping, topographic, utility, boundary, and ALTA surveys, plats and condominium drawings, and construction layout.
The responsibilities include:
Preparation of survey documents and computations associated with ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, and topographic/utility surveys Preparation of estimates and proposals Management and scheduling of personnel, equipment, and budgets Ensure that surveys are in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations Investigate, locate, identify, and advise or recommend the acceptability of survey data Understand real estate document interpretation (e.
g.
deeds, restrictions, easements) Research engineering plans and maps, field notes, and archival records regarding sites to be surveyed Prepare right-of-way and easement descriptions and exhibits Prepare plats and condominium exhibits Review plans and staking notes for errors or potential conflicts Maintain detailed notes and records and prepare reports, correspondence, and other written records Maintain exceptional internal and external client relations Qualified candidates should:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in surveying engineering Hold a current P.
S.
license Have a minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing experience including preparation of ALTA surveys Be proficient with standard survey equipment, data collectors, total stations, robotics and GPS Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred ZWA has been proudly serving the real estate and development community throughout Michigan with professional site engineering and land surveying services since 1974.
