We are seeking a full-time Supplier Quality Engineer to join our lean and agile team in Mesa, Arizona. This Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for monitoring and ensuring that all purchased products conform to EMV specifications and support our ability to build Quality vehicles. The SQE will also ensure that all receiving inspections, reworks, and supplier containment actions are completed before parts are delivered to the Operations area. Based on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and external customer feedback, the SQE will perform root cause analysis and drive containment and corrective actions at the supplier, with the end goal of exceeding our customers' expectations. The SQE will also support continuous improvement activities in support of key performance indicators. General Requirements Lead and support our organization to implement Built-in-Quality concept in our Manufacturing process to monitor and improve our supplier parts to support our operations department to produce our product right the first time. Lead and support supplier PPAP development and approval for current and new suppliers, experience on PPAP and APQP (AIAG) is required. Collaborate and support suppliers to monitor and control color trend as a part of the supplier control plan, Colorimetry experience is a plus for this position. Lead and support our procedure and instructions development to meet ISO 9001:
2015 requirements, experience in ISO 9001:
2015 standards and/or IATF 16949 is a plus. Incoming Quality Inspection and Audit process development to monitor our supplier product and make sure the product meets the Quality expectations and engineering regulatory specifications. Support PFMEA development with our Manufacturing Engineering department to make sure critical characteristics of supplier parts are being addressed properly to reduce defects. Support Control Plan development to identify and add the correct Quality Controls to the receiving inspection and Audit processes to prevent quality issues and monitor the integrity of the product. Develop and continuously improve Incoming Quality Inspection and Audit standard processes. Identify and prioritize the continuous improvement of the process and supplier product based on the internal and external NCRs or VOC (voice of the customer). Teamwork experience required to lead and participate on problem solving projects to improve the quality of the product with different departments in the organization. Lead Supplier Quality performance review meetings to enhance the quality perception of the team and drive the continuous improvement through our organization. Continually focus to reach our internal and external KPIs for the department. Voice of the Customer, Quality Internal Performance of the vehicle and Continuous improvement driven to satisfy our customers. All KPIs should roll up into the general plant KPIs of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. Supporting the development, implementation, and utilization of the SAP Fiore to monitor the Quality of the supplier products, experience in SAP Fiore is a plus. Support and collaborate with all company teams (Production, Materials, Logistics, Supplier Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Finance, HR, etc.) to achieve our company goals. Other Other duties as occasionally required by company leadership. Requirements A bachelor's degree in Engineering is required 3 - 5 years of experience in Quality at an assembly or manufacturing facility is highly preferred Experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing or assembly plant is required, additional experience in a new product launch or start-up company is preferred Safety conscious - abides by Health & Safety standards High level of integrity and personal accountability Team player - works collaboratively with a positive attitude Innovative and creative - able to work within processes, but can also build in the abstract and find unique solutions Data driven with a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement mindset; Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus for this position. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple cross-functional teams Excellent verbal & written communication skills - builds effective relationships across departments High level of computer literacy to manage data and run statistics analysis (Minitab) Holds a valid driver's license. $80K -- $100K
